UC Berkeley secured top positions across multiple disciplines in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report graduate school rankings, underscoring its status as a leader in higher education.

The College of Letters & Sciences achieved No. 1 rankings in economics, psychology, sociology, and English. The College of Engineering placed third nationwide, with three specialties ranked first, including computer engineering, electrical engineering, and environmental health engineering. The Haas School of Business tied for No. 1 in part-time MBA programs, while the Goldman School of Public Policy earned the top spot in public policy analysis.
Other programs, including computer science, public health, law, and education, also placed in the Top 10. UC Berkeley’s School of Education rose eight places to tie for sixth nationally. Overall, 50 Berkeley schools and disciplines ranked in the Top 10, with 19 more in the Top 25.
The annual U.S. News rankings draw on school data and peer surveys to evaluate fields such as business, education, engineering, law, medicine, and nursing. Additional disciplines, including public affairs and computer science, are assessed through reputation surveys.
Berkeley’s continued performance across such a broad academic spectrum highlights the university’s national influence and global academic reputation.
