Jabil will establish a new manufacturing facility in Prince George County, Virginia, creating more than 350 jobs as demand grows for domestic energy and electrification infrastructure across the United States.
The new facility, located at the Crosspointe Logistics Center, will manufacture critical power distribution systems and solutions for Siemens. Operations are expected to begin in fall 2026.
Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger said the investment strengthens Virginia’s position as a national hub for advanced manufacturing and energy infrastructure.
“Virginia is a world-class leader in advanced manufacturing and energy infrastructure, and Jabil’s decision to establish a new manufacturing facility in Prince George County reflects our strength,” Spanberger said. “This investment will bring hundreds of high-quality jobs to the Commonwealth while strengthening our domestic supply chain to support next-generation energy technology.”
Founded in 1966, Jabil has expanded from a circuit board manufacturer into one of the world’s largest manufacturing solutions providers. The Florida-headquartered company operates more than 100 manufacturing facilities globally, including over 30 sites across the United States, and employs more than 140,000 people worldwide.
The Prince George County project represents a $6.1 million investment and is expected to strengthen domestic supply chains supporting next-generation energy technologies and electrification systems.
Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Carrie Chenery said the project reflects Virginia’s growing role in energy and electrification manufacturing.
“Virginia continues to attract the global industry leaders driving innovation in energy and electrification, and Jabil’s new facility is a strong addition to this growing sector,” Chenery said. “With a world-class workforce, strategic location, and programs like the Virginia Talent Accelerator, the Commonwealth is well-positioned to support companies scaling advanced manufacturing operations.”
Jabil Senior Vice President Brent Tompkins said rising demand for U.S.-manufactured energy infrastructure is driving the company’s domestic expansion strategy.
“Demand for reliable, U.S.-manufactured power and energy solutions from companies such as Siemens is only accelerating to keep up with the pace of technology,” Tompkins said. “With this new factory in Prince George County, we’re excited to scale our capabilities, continue growing our domestic manufacturing footprint, and help create new jobs in collaboration with Siemens.”
The facility will also support Siemens’ growing investments in U.S. energy infrastructure manufacturing. Brian Dula said the partnership will help strengthen domestic supply chain capacity.
“As we continue to add capacity to meet accelerating demand for critical power infrastructure, we are not only investing in our own facilities but also working with strategic partners to bolster our domestic supply chain in the U.S.,” Dula said. “We’re proud to be collaborating with Jabil to stand up the new Prince George facility which will be home to hundreds of new jobs for the state of Virginia.”
Prince George County is located in southeastern Virginia within the Greater Richmond-Petersburg industrial corridor, an area that has continued attracting advanced manufacturing, logistics, and energy-related investments due to its transportation access, workforce availability, and proximity to East Coast markets.
Virginia’s Gateway Region President and CEO Keith Boswell said the project adds to the region’s growing advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
“Another premier world manufacturing leader has chosen to locate to the Gateway Region, adding to the growing cluster of tomorrow’s signature technology manufacturers in our region,” Boswell said. “The addition of 352 high-quality jobs is a testament to our area’s specialized workforce and our commitment to fostering a world-class industrial ecosystem.”
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked alongside Prince George County and Virginia’s Gateway Region to secure the project. Gov. Spanberger approved a $700,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to support the investment.
Support for workforce recruitment and training will be provided through the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program, which offers customized workforce training solutions for expanding manufacturers and industrial employers across the state.
