ChipAgents has closed an oversubscribed $21 million Series A funding round, bringing its total capital raised to $24 million as it aims to revolutionize semiconductor design through AI-powered automation. The funding round, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, included participation from industry leaders Micron Technology, MediaTek, and Ericsson, signaling strong confidence in the company’s approach to integrating AI into hardware engineering.
In the first half of 2025, ChipAgents reported a 6,377% surge in monthly usage and 50× year-over-year growth in annual recurring revenue, with its AI-driven platform now deployed across 50 major semiconductor companies.
Founded to address the growing complexity of chip verification and design, ChipAgents is developing an AI-native platform that automates repetitive engineering processes while improving design accuracy and efficiency. The company’s founder and CEO, Professor William Wang, said the platform’s goal is to transform the traditional workflow bottlenecks slowing chip innovation.
“With ChipAgents, we’re introducing a unified agentic AI platform that automates routine tasks, accelerates design and verification, and allows engineers to focus on innovation rather than manual effort,” Wang said.

The company also strengthened its leadership with the addition of Wally Rhines, former CEO of Mentor Graphics, and Raúl Camposano, former CTO of Synopsys, to its advisory board.
With fresh funding and a growing network of strategic partners, ChipAgents plans to scale product development, expand its customer ecosystem, and deepen industry collaborations—positioning itself at the forefront of AI-enabled semiconductor design.
