American electric power and natural gas holding company Duke Energy has announced the selection of five economic development organizations in northern Indiana for its 2025 Partnership Program. This initiative provides funding to support marketing and strategic efforts aimed at attracting new jobs and investments to the state.
Erin Schneider, managing director of economic development at Duke Energy, emphasized the program’s objectives: “This program gives our local economic development partners the tools they need to showcase the strengths of their communities — both at home and on the national stage. It’s just one of the many ways we’re helping influence growth in the state to build competitive, thriving communities.”

The grants can be utilized for various marketing initiatives, including trade show attendance, website redesign, promotional materials, and presentations or tours to introduce prospective companies and site selectors to a community. Each applicant submitted a plan with a direct impact on their community’s economic growth, with grant amounts varying based on the project’s size and scope.
The 2025 grant recipients in northern Indiana are:
Grow Wabash County: $5,000 to develop a marketing plan promoting the Wabash Business Complex, North Manchester Industrial Complex, and Wedcor Industrial Park.
Carroll County Economic Development Corporation: $5,000.
Greater Lafayette Commerce: $5,000.
Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership: $5,000.
Purdue Research Foundation: $5,000.
These investments reflect Duke Energy’s commitment to fostering economic development and supporting communities in northern Indiana.
