From Taiwan to the world: How GLOCOM is redefining PCB manufacturing

Since its start in 2000, GLOCOM has rapidly risen to become a global leader in the printed circuit board (PCB) industry. “Our journey from a single factory in Taiwan to a global operation was driven by our focus on quality and client satisfaction,” says CEO Jonah Wu.

Wu said GLOCOM’s early certifications from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and ISO 9001 quickly established its credibility, helping the company expand into Shenzhen in 2002. By 2012, GLOCOM had transformed into a global provider, delivering fast service and tailored support to meet evolving client needs.

Meeting market challenges with agility

Even amid global challenges like inflation and material shortages, GLOCOM keeps cost-effective pricing and fast delivery at the forefront. “Balancing affordability with quality standards is one of our core strategies,” Wu explains. This approach strengthens GLOCOM’s position in critical markets, including a strong presence in the United States (50%) and Europe (35%). By expanding local partnerships, GLOCOM continues to grow its influence and customer base across these regions.

Advancing technology and materials for cutting-edge applications

GLOCOM leads with High-Density Interconnect (HDI) technology, crucial for high-performance 5G and automotive applications. By using premium materials like Isola and Rogers, GLOCOM ensures low signal loss and stability, meeting demanding industry standards. “Precision and resilience are essential for automotive systems,” Wu emphasizes, highlighting the importance of advanced materials for reliability in sectors like automotive and telecommunications.

Streamlining production with a dual-region approach

With a dual-region manufacturing strategy, GLOCOM maximizes efficiency and flexibility. Its Taiwan facilities handle high-precision, quick-turn orders, while high-volume production takes place in China, ensuring scalability and cost-effectiveness. “This approach lets us meet diverse demands, from high-performance to high-quantity orders,” Wu explains. GLOCOM’s alignment with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards boosts product reliability, reinforcing trust among global clients.

Committed to sustainability and future-focused tech

GLOCOM actively champions sustainability by reducing hazardous materials and investing in energy-efficient processes. “Sustainability drives our innovation. We balance technological advancement with environmental responsibility,” Wu states. Looking ahead, GLOCOM is investing in AI and IoT integration, developing PCBs that support miniaturization, connectivity, and faster data processing.

With its focus on customer satisfaction, advanced technology, and sustainable practices, GLOCOM stands ready to lead the global PCB industry and tackle future challenges head-on.
