Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, along with state officials and JobsOhio representatives, recently announced that Great Day Improvements, a leading home improvement products manufacturer, will expand its operations in Northeast and Southwest Ohio, generating nearly 1,000 new jobs over the next five years. The expansion will significantly increase the company’s manufacturing capacity, with 583 jobs created in Sharonville near Cincinnati and 412 positions in Walton Hills, New Bedford, and Twinsburg near Cleveland.
Strengthening Ohio’s manufacturing sector
Governor DeWine praised Great Day Improvements’ decision to expand in Ohio, highlighting the state’s strong manufacturing base and skilled workforce. “The company’s decision to bring nearly 1,000 new jobs reflects Ohio’s strength in manufacturing and our second-to-none workforce that supports multiple industries,” said DeWine. With roots in Cleveland, the company now stands as one of the fastest-growing home improvement firms in North America.
Great Day Improvements CEO Drew Weinfurtner emphasized the importance of Ohio’s community partnerships in supporting the company’s growth. “Our partnerships with Ohio and local communities make this growth a reality,” he said. The expansion builds upon the company’s successful history, which began with its Patio Enclosures and Stanek Windows brands.
Expanding manufacturing capacity
The Sharonville site will play a central role in bolstering Great Day Improvements’ production capabilities to meet rising customer demand. This expansion is expected to support the company’s national distribution efforts, ensuring timely delivery of products across the country.
In Northeast Ohio, the Walton Hills, Twinsburg, and Bedford Heights locations will see significant growth in manufacturing jobs, including skilled trades, operations, and corporate services. The Walton Hills facility, spanning 247,000 square feet, will support the production and distribution of various product lines. “Great Day Improvements will be an anchor tenant in the redevelopment of the former Ford Stamping Plant, turning it into the Forward Innovation Center East,” said Walton Hills Mayor Don Kolograf.
Community and economic impact
The expansion is expected to have a profound impact on local communities, with key officials praising the move as a major economic win. Sharonville Mayor Kevin Hardman called it “a game changer” for the community, while Rep. Warren Davidson stressed the positive impact on the local economy. “This project will energize our local economy, support working-class families, and strengthen our manufacturing base,” he said.
The continued growth of Great Day Improvements further solidifies Ohio’s position as a prime destination for business investment. “This expansion showcases that Ohio is the place for businesses looking to grow, innovate, and lead,” said Lydia Mihalik, director of the Ohio Department of Development.

Great Day Improvements’ expansion serves as a testament to Ohio’s strong economic foundation and its ability to support manufacturing innovation while creating new job opportunities for residents.
