Impel, a global provider of automotive AI solutions, has announced the opening of a new office in Burlington, Vermont, marking a significant expansion of its U.S. operations. The Burlington location will serve as a strategic hub supporting the company’s continued growth and strengthening its presence in North America.
The decision to locate in Burlington reflects the city’s emergence as a growing technology center, supported by a strong network of automotive technology firms, proximity to leading universities, and an expanding role within the national innovation ecosystem.
Impel’s new office will focus on deepening dealer partnerships and advancing product development by drawing on expertise from both the automotive retail and technology startup sectors. The location is also expected to function as a gateway to the Canadian market—one of North America’s largest automotive retail regions—creating additional opportunities for collaboration and growth. Impel currently serves nearly 500 dealerships across its platform.
“Burlington’s combination of talent, innovation, and quality of life aligns perfectly with Impel’s culture and our vision for sustainable, long-term growth,” said Devin Daly, co-founder and chief executive officer of Impel.

Kara Alnasrawi, director of the Burlington Community & Economic Development Office, welcomed the investment, noting the positive impact technology-driven companies can have on the region’s economy.
Vermont’s technology sector now accounts for approximately one-quarter of statewide employment, supported by the state’s federal Technology Hub designation and a $1.5 billion investment under the CHIPS Act.
