Vibrant Health Products to open first U.S. manufacturing facility in Tennessee

Vibrant Health Products Inc., a Canada-based food manufacturer known for its allergy-friendly and gluten-free products, has announced plans to establish its first U.S. manufacturing operation in Sevierville, Tennessee. The $80.6 million investment marks a strategic expansion into the U.S. market and is expected to create 270 new jobs in Sevier County.

The facility will support the production of baked goods under Vibrant’s well-known brands, including Little Northern Bakehouse and Carbonaut, which cater to health-conscious and specialty diet consumers. The new plant will house both production and distribution functions, allowing the company to better serve U.S. retailers and customers with shorter delivery times and increased capacity.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee welcomed the announcement, citing the state’s growing advanced manufacturing base and strong logistics infrastructure. “This project highlights the strength of our rural communities and Tennessee’s ability to attract global brands looking to expand in the U.S.,” he said.

Founded in Canada, Vibrant Health Products has grown steadily in the health foods category, aligning with rising consumer demand for plant-based, gluten-free, and allergen-conscious products. By establishing operations in Tennessee, the company positions itself closer to key markets and streamlines its North American supply chain.

Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter emphasized the project’s local impact. “With this investment, Vibrant Health Products will bring hundreds of quality jobs to Sevier County while adding to our state’s diverse manufacturing sector,” he said.

The project also strengthens the region’s economic profile, offering long-term employment opportunities and reinforcing Sevier County’s role in supporting innovation in the food and beverage industry.
