World Emblem expands in Houston, brings jobs back from China

World Emblem, a top U.S. supplier of emblems and promotional products, is expanding its manufacturing presence in Houston with the opening of a new 72,000-square-foot facility. The Florida-based company will reshore 50 jobs from China and create up to 100 additional roles to meet increasing domestic demand.

The new factory, which will begin operations in October, more than doubles the size of the company’s previous Houston facility. “We are committed to continue growing our U.S. manufacturing base,” said Randy Carr, CEO of World Emblem. “This expansion will help us reduce tariff costs, improve supply chain efficiency, and enable same-day production and delivery.”

The site is expected to employ about 140 people initially, with capacity to scale further. At full operation, it could produce up to 500,000 emblems and patches per week. The company also manufactures a wide range of promotional products, including name badges, stickers, and pens.

Carr emphasized the importance of investing in local talent and supporting domestic manufacturing goals. “We are proud of our dedicated team in Houston and look forward to remaining an active part of the community for years to come,” he said.

The announcement aligns with a broader reshoring trend in the promotional products industry, as U.S. companies respond to tariff pressures and growing interest in “Made-in-the-USA” goods. World Emblem also plans to open a 100,000-square-foot facility in the Dominican Republic next year to support near-shoring efforts.

Currently operating additional U.S. facilities in Georgia and California, World Emblem employs over 300 people nationwide and produces 250 million products annually. With $100 million in North American promotional revenue in 2023, it ranked 20th on Counselor’s latest Top 40 suppliers list.
