The Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of Jansen Tidmore as its new President and CEO, marking a significant leadership transition aimed at driving economic growth and innovation in the region.

Tidmore brings a wealth of experience in economic development and urban revitalization. He previously served as the President and CEO of the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation (Jeffco EDC) in Colorado, where he led initiatives to attract and retain businesses, foster community development, and promote job creation. His tenure at Jeffco EDC was noted for a collaborative and innovative approach to economic development solutions, built on data-driven decision-making.

Prior to his role in Colorado, Tidmore held leadership positions in Alabama and South Carolina. He was the Executive Director of the Dothan Downtown Redevelopment Authority, where he spearheaded efforts to revitalize the downtown area, and later led the Spartanburg Downtown Development Partnership, focusing on strategic growth and investment in Spartanburg’s urban core.

A native of Dothan, Alabama, Tidmore holds a Master of Public Administration from Auburn University, with concentrations in city management and economic development. His diverse background in both the private and public sectors positions him to effectively lead the Columbus Chamber in its mission to support local businesses and attract new investment to the area.

Tidmore’s appointment comes as the Chamber seeks to build upon its recent successes and further enhance the economic vitality of Columbus and the surrounding region. His leadership is expected to bring fresh perspectives and strategies to the organization, fostering a dynamic environment for business growth and community development.

The Chamber’s board and members have expressed enthusiasm about Tidmore’s vision and experience, anticipating a new era of innovation and collaboration under his guidance.
