The Laredo Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) has received two Bronze Level Excellence in Economic Development Awards from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The honors recognize LEDC’s achievements in the Magazine & Newsletter category for its Border Insight: Laredo is on the Rise publication, and in Innovation in Economic Development Week for its 2024 programming.
The awards will be presented during IEDC’s 2025 Annual Conference, scheduled for September 14–17 in Detroit, Michigan.

Each year, IEDC recognizes organizations and initiatives that demonstrate innovation and leadership in advancing economic growth. With more than 11,000 development organizations across the U.S., LEDC’s recognition highlights its ability to stand out on both national and international stages.
