The Laredo Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) has received two Bronze Level Excellence in Economic Development Awards from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The honors recognize LEDC’s achievements in the Magazine & Newsletter category for its Border Insight: Laredo is on the Rise publication, and in Innovation in Economic Development Week for its 2024 programming. The awards will be presented during IEDC’s 2025 Annual Conference, scheduled for September 14–17 in Detroit, Michigan. “Laredo Economic Development Corporation is leading the field of excellence in economic development with its Border Insight magazine and Economic Development Week 2024 initiatives,” said Nathan Ohle, IEDC President and CEO. “These awards shine a spotlight on LEDC’s commitment to its community and showcase the significant impact of economic development.” Each year, IEDC recognizes organizations and initiatives that demonstrate innovation and leadership in advancing economic growth. With more than 11,000 development organizations across the U.S., LEDC’s recognition highlights its ability to stand out on both national and international stages. David A.
