Violet PR selected to lead national PR campaign for Birmingham Business Alliance

Violet PR has been selected by the Birmingham Business Alliance to support a national communications and business attraction campaign aimed at elevating the Alabama region’s profile across several high-growth industries.

The partnership comes as the Birmingham region continues to expand its presence in sectors including advanced manufacturing, life sciences, logistics and distribution, corporate headquarters, professional services, and defense technologies.

Representing the seven-county Birmingham region, the Birmingham Business Alliance serves as the area’s lead economic development organization and chamber of commerce. The organization leads business recruitment, expansion, workforce, and talent initiatives designed to strengthen the region’s competitiveness and attract new investment.

According to the announcement, Violet PR will help position Birmingham as an emerging Southern hub for corporate investment, advanced industry, and innovation by amplifying the region’s economic momentum and industry strengths through national media relations and storytelling initiatives.

“Birmingham is seeing real momentum in everything from life sciences manufacturing to corporate headquarters growth and defense-related innovation, and we believe this is the moment to expand how that story is told nationally,” said Steve Ammons, president and CEO of the Birmingham Business Alliance.

Ammons added that Violet PR understands how to connect economic data, workforce strategy, and industry momentum into a narrative that resonates with investors, executives, and media audiences.

The campaign will focus on promoting Birmingham’s industry clusters, workforce development efforts, training capabilities, and business cost advantages as the region competes for investment projects and corporate expansion opportunities.

“The Birmingham region’s growth is not happening in silos; it’s happening at the intersection of industries and civic momentum, and is powered by a growing talent pipeline,” Mason said. “Our role will be to help shape and amplify that story so national audiences understand why Birmingham is punching well above its weight in this moment of across-the-board industry shifts.”

Violet PR specializes in economic development communications and currently represents economic development organizations and regions across multiple U.S. states and metropolitan areas, including Georgia, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Baltimore, Frisco, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Sacramento, Lincoln, and Topeka.

The agency’s work with Birmingham Business Alliance will include national media outreach, thought leadership opportunities, and strategic storytelling designed to strengthen Birmingham’s visibility among corporate decision-makers, site selectors, investors, and business media.
