Tellus Power, a California-based energy technology company, has expanded its U.S. headquarters and manufacturing operations with a new 30,000-square-foot facility in Irvine, a leading technology and innovation hub in Southern California, as it scales production to meet growing demand for electric vehicle charging and intelligent energy infrastructure. The expansion strengthens Tellus Power’s position in one of the world’s fastest-growing EV markets. The company has deployed more than 450,000 charging and energy infrastructure units globally, manufactures charging solutions ranging from 7 kW to 1.2 MW, and is expected to supply chargers for around half of the EV fast-charging sites proposed under California’s latest federally funded NEVI infrastructure program. The new Irvine facility brings the company’s engineering, manufacturing and commercial operations together under one roof, creating a centralized hub for product testing, assembly, quality control, warehousing, production, technical support and certifications. Tellus Power said the facility is designed to support the commercial deployment of its bi-directional energy transfer systems, which combine electric vehicle charging, battery storage and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capabilities. The site has also achieved IFI (UL) certification and will manufacture products that comply with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA), allowing the company to support federally funded infrastructure projects across the United States.
