The Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership (Fort Worth EDP) has received the 2026 Mac Conway Award for Excellence in Economic Development from Site Selection magazine, recognising the organisation’s success in attracting business investment, creating jobs, and driving economic growth.

Fort Worth EDP was one of 23 economic development organisations across the United States selected for the award, which is regarded as one of the industry’s highest honours.

Recipients are evaluated using metrics including capital investment, job creation, corporate project activity, regional economic performance, and workforce competitiveness.

Mayor Mattie Parker said the recognition reflects Fort Worth’s continued economic momentum and the city’s success in attracting new employers.

“Fort Worth’s momentum is undeniable, and the Fort Worth EDP is a driving force behind it,” Parker said.

Established in 2023, the Fort Worth EDP has helped secure several major investment projects that have strengthened the city’s position as a destination for advanced manufacturing, technology, and corporate headquarters.

Among its recent wins is Ariat International’s $72.6 million expansion of its regional headquarters, a project expected to create 250 jobs.

Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer Wistron also announced plans to invest $761 million in two AI supercomputing facilities at AllianceTexas, creating more than 800 full-time jobs as demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure continues to accelerate.

Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services is expanding its headquarters operations in AllianceTexas, adding more than 120 positions through employee relocations and new hires.

Fort Worth EDP President and CEO Robert Allen said the award recognises the city’s collaborative approach to economic development.

“When it comes to economic development, Fort Worth has it all—a great community, a great workforce, and a great team of city leaders willing to work with business,” Allen said.

Named after Site Selection founder H. McKinley “Mac” Conway, the award recognises economic development organisations that demonstrate measurable success in attracting investment and supporting long-term regional growth.

Selection criteria include project data from the Conway Projects Database, capital investment and job creation figures, the Milken Institute’s Best Performing Cities Index, and workforce competitiveness data from the Lightcast Talent Attraction Scorecard.

The recognition comes as Fort Worth continues to emerge as one of the fastest-growing business destinations in the United States, attracting investment across advanced manufacturing, aerospace, logistics, financial services, and emerging technologies.
