Mira Prinz-Arey appointed executive director of Jersey City Development Corporation

Jersey City Councilwoman Mira Prinz-Arey has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Jersey City Economic Development Corporation (JCEDC), effective April 14, 2025. In her new role, Prinz-Arey will focus on expanding the city's economic development initiatives and fostering growth opportunities for local businesses and communities. “In my new role with the JCEDC, I look forward to advancing the five-year plan recently approved by the state,” said Prinz-Arey. “We will support for-profit and non-profit businesses of all sizes leveraging UEZ (urban enterprise zone) funding to drive economic development across all parts of the city.” Prinz-Arey brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served on the Jersey City Council since 2017. During her tenure, she has been instrumental in various development projects and community programs aimed at improving the city's economic landscape. The JCEDC plays a pivotal role in promoting economic vitality in Jersey City by supporting business development, job creation, and investment opportunities. Under Prinz-Arey's leadership, the organization aims to enhance its outreach and impact across the city's diverse neighborhoods.
