Semiconductor supplier Onsemi Philippines has become a leading example of sustainability in the country as it calibrates its business model amid the growing use of greener technology in the automotive and industrial sectors around the world.
“Around 60% of the products we ship are solutions for the automotive sector and 40% are for the industrial sector. We mostly manufacture for EVs because that is the future. Plus, we cater to Industry 4.0 needs, which includes aerospace as well,” said Onsemi Philippines General Manager Gary Dirige.
The company’s focus on electric vehicles exhibits its clear commitment to sustainability as it supports a sector that cuts global carbon emissions. Meanwhile, its increased involvement in Industry 4.0 has helped forward-thinking manufacturers that advocate for sustainability and a circular economy.
Onsemi’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond product development. It has adopted compliance and ethics policies driven by its core values of respect, integrity, and initiative. Its principles form the foundation of a robust corporate compliance and ethics program (CCEP), which helps prevent, detect, and respond to unethical or illegal conduct.
“We’re constantly preparing ourselves for the future because I believe that whoever makes use of this time to improve will end up victorious,” Dirige said.
Through its strategic initiatives, Onsemi Philippines continues to lead the way in developing eco-friendly solutions that will shape the future of the automotive and industrial sectors, positioning the company as a key player in the global sustainability movement.
