India’s commitment to sustainability and clean energy is gaining momentum, with industry leaders focusing on accelerating the country’s transition to a greener future. PreCog Innovation Partners, a cross-border co-creation and venture-building platform, is at the forefront of this movement, dedicated to decarbonizing key industry sectors in pursuit of India’s net-zero transition.
In an interview with GMI POST, Sumit Dhanuka, Founder and Managing Partner of PreCog Innovation Partners, highlighted India’s significant market opportunity for commercializing sustainable technologies by bridging global innovations with the country’s industrial giants.

“The goal is to scale sustainable solutions by fostering collaboration between global technology providers and Indian energy and automotive sectors,” Dhanuka stated. With India’s government setting an ambitious net-zero target by 2070 and aiming for a substantial renewable energy share, the ecosystem is rapidly evolving to meet these goals.
A key approach adopted by Indian clean tech pioneers is the focus on co-creation—bringing together startups, established corporations, and international partners to achieve scalability. “No institution alone can drive this transformation,” Dhanuka emphasized. “Collaboration across borders is crucial to delivering impact at scale.”
PreCog acts as a catalyst with over 30 large Indian business groups, fast-tracking their strategic growth, expansion, diversification, and de-carbonization goals by enabling long-term co-creation partnerships with global climate technology ventures and entrepreneurial talent.
India’s push towards clean energy is not just about policy mandates but also about market-driven innovation. In 2023 alone, India attracted over $10 billion in renewable energy investments, highlighting the country’s attractiveness as a global clean tech hub. Despite the progress, challenges remain. Many early-stage companies struggle to secure venture capital, with only 10% of clean tech startups successfully raising funds. Dhanuka’s vision aims to address this gap by creating a platform that provides not just financial backing, but also crucial industry connections and strategic guidance.
As India continues its clean energy transition, industry leaders like PreCog Innovation Partners are focused on scaling sustainable solutions, strengthening partnerships, and driving innovation—ensuring the country remains a frontrunner in the global clean tech movement.
