Japanese machinery manufacturer Hirano Tecseed Co., Ltd. will open its first U.S. office in Norcross, Georgia in line with its plans to expand its business in the United States and commitment to improve its service for its American clients, according to the company.
Ahead of the opening, an official delegation from Gwinett County and the Georgia Department of Economic Development, accompanied by local business and community leaders, visited Hirano Tecseed’s headquarters in Nara, Japan.
The visit ended with the company’s announcement of the opening of its new office, which will be manned by three executives at the start.
We are thrilled to open our first U.S. office in Norcross. This strategic location will allow us to better serve our American clients and expand our footprint in the U.S. market. We appreciate the warm welcome and support from Gwinnett County and the State of Georgia,” said Hirano Tecseed President Kaoru Okada.
Founded in 1935, Hirano Tecseed manufactures advanced coating machines utilized across various industries, including electronics, medical, aerospace, adhesive tape, liquid crystal displays, and aircraft parts.
Renowned for its innovative technology and environmentally friendly operations, the multinational generated nearly $300 million in sales during its 2023-24 fiscal year.
The announcement also coincided with the opening of the registration for the annual Southeast U.S.-Japan Association conference, which this year will be sponsored by Toyota and be held in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“This new office will not only strengthen our international business community but also create new opportunities for collaboration and economic growth in the county,” said Gwinnett County Commissioner Kirkland Carden, who joined the official visit to Japan.
Meanwhile, Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson added, “Hirano Tecseed’s investment in Norcross underscores how international companies recognize Georgia as a reliable entryway into the U.S. market. The State of Georgia’s participation in subnational organizations such as SEUS-Japan and our longstanding international presence foster relationships and lead to opportunities.”
