Panasonic Latin America has deepened its environmental commitment by partnering with Recicladora Bliss, a regional leader in waste management, to advance its Green Impact Project. The initiative, which aims to reduce the company’s environmental footprint across the region, focuses on sustainable recycling practices and responsible materials management.
Through this strategic alliance, Panasonic will leverage Recicladora Bliss’s extensive infrastructure and technical expertise to ensure responsible collection, sorting, and recycling of its packaging materials and air conditioner casings. The partnership represents a significant step toward fulfilling the company’s global carbon neutrality targets and expanding its sustainability footprint in Latin America.
“This partnership with Recicladora Bliss is another step toward reducing our environmental footprint and reinforces our efforts to promote more sustainable practices in the industry,” said Donald Avilla, Green Impact Project Representative at Panasonic Latin America. He emphasized the company’s dual focus on innovation and sustainability, underscoring the importance of cross-sector collaboration to address growing environmental challenges.

Panasonic’s Green Impact Project is currently being implemented across Panama and Ecuador through localized partnerships with authorized service centers. In Panama, organizations such as Servicios Sigma SA, Dacorp SA, Refer SA, and Instalservice are involved in the collection and recycling of post-consumer waste. In Ecuador, All Kontroller SA and Digicasle Centro Digital SA have joined the effort, helping expand the initiative’s reach and impact.
The project also includes public engagement campaigns aimed at improving recycling awareness and encouraging communities to participate in environmentally responsible practices. One of the campaign’s more unique components is the recycling of cigarette boxes—part of a broader strategy to incorporate everyday waste streams into Panasonic’s sustainability framework.
As electronic waste and packaging waste continue to rise across Latin America, Panasonic’s partnership with Recicladora Bliss reinforces the role of the private sector in leading environmental responsibility. The initiative is aligned with Panasonic’s global Green Impact mission, which seeks to reduce CO₂ emissions by more than 300 million tons by 2050.
With Latin America facing mounting waste management challenges—only 4.5% of all waste is currently recycled in the region, according to the Inter-American Development Bank—Panasonic’s expanded collaboration is both timely and necessary.
By investing in local infrastructure and fostering a culture of recycling, Panasonic aims to create long-term value for both the environment and the communities it serves.
