Vasil Levski Sofia Airport has been honored with the prestigious title of “Best Airport in Europe with 5 to 15 million passengers” for 2024 by Airports Council International (ACI) World and Amadeus. This recognition is based on extensive passenger feedback collected through the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program, the world’s largest airport customer experience survey.
The award reflects the significant strides made by SOF Connect, the airport’s operator, in enhancing the travel experience. Initiatives include terminal renovations, advanced cleaning systems, streamlined navigation, and faster security processing. These improvements have contributed to a more seamless and pleasant experience for millions of passengers.

The official awards ceremony will be held on September 10, 2025, during the ACI World Airport Experience Summit in Guangzhou, China.
